Bites

A great lunch at Ms.G's in Sydney last week, started with the Yuzu slushee,  Limoncello, Russian Standard Vodka,Yuzu juice, Regan's orange bitters and highly moreish. We also tried the "Good Morning Vietnam" not quite as nice with the food we chose. Ms. G's does have a good, not outrageously priced wine list on offer as well.

We started with the BBQ octopus with crispy pork noodle salad

Then egg noodles with XO sauce, braised duck and soft poached egg
And Vietnamese curry of Wagyu beef shin with baguette

The Wagyu was amazingly tender as you would expect from these loved-up cows and slow cooking the shin or cooking sous-vide as I suspect this was, makes it even more so.
Ms.G's is a funky little place with great service, worth a visit if you're in Sydney.

Remember it's Pancake Day next Tuesday the 21st, have got some quirky recipes for pancakes that I'll post next week. And I guess I better think of something to give up for Lent...
I'm off to make a pot of soup and get over the jet lag.
